The next deadline for the Wharton EMBA is in 2 weeks for the Philadelpia location and 2.5 weeks for the San Francisco one.
The average profile for Wharton EMBA is an individual over 30, with 8 years of experience, including 5 years of managerial experience. However this is not a requirement, as the Admissions committee for Wharton Executive MBA evaluates each application individually. For example, people with project management background might have non-direct management experience, and sales people could have mostly client management. Another option is the Fellows program, which requires full financial sponsorship from your employer a commitment that ranges from $167K $174K (including room and board).
You must schedule an interview before February 1 for no later than 3/10 for San-Francisco option and 3/17 for the Philadelphia option.

The head of Ofsted, Sir Michael Wilshaw, said it was long recognised that ‘satisfactory’ was not good enough. Felix Clay
Last night on Newsnight Sir Michael Wilshaw, the chief inspector of schools and head of Ofsted, condemned the fact that one in five pupils are leaving primary school without reaching the “national average” in English. His comment led to accusations on Twitter that he had been “statistically incoherent”, including this one from :

Ofsted boss #newsnight “1 in 5 children leave primary school without reaching national average”. Ofsted boss needs a basic statistics lesson

This is what Sir Michael actually said on Newsnight:
Our standards should be higher.
The Wake County school board on Tuesday approved offering bonus pay to teachers and other staff at Walnut Creek Elementary School and the Longview School.
Starting in the 2012-13 school year, grant money will be used to offer to staff signing bonuses and bonuses based on student performance. A similar merit pay program, also using grant money, is offered at four Wake elementary schools.
Walnut Creek is getting the program because it’s a high-poverty school in Southeast Raleigh. But unlike the Longview School, an alternative school in East Raleigh, Walnut Creek’s staff won’t have to reapply to keep their jobs at the school.
Many candidates will work painstakingly on their essays, prepare rigorously for their interviews and endlessly contemplate their choices of recommenders. However, applicants tend to leave the short answer section of their applications to the last moment, and some will simply paste in information from their resumes or from their applications to other schools.
The short answer sections—meaning the actual questions within the application about work and community experience, hobbies, etc.—should certainly not be ignored, and should be completed with the same spirit of diligence that you would bring to all the other aspects of your applications. We advise candidates to refrain from just pasting bullet points from their resumes into the short answer section, and to instead take time to truly contemplate the questions that are asked and write out the answers in full sentence form.
